Corbett Redford is a singer, songwriter, filmmaker, actor, author, and voice-over artist from the California Bay Area. With a career as an independent artist, performer and social satirist that spans over three decades and every medium from print to documentary film, Redford is a multi-talented, prolific, and endlessly creative storyteller.

As one of the singers and songwriters in the band Bobby Joe Ebola & The Children MacNuggits, Corbett has performed at over 2,000 shows, festivals and events across the United States and abroad since the band's inception in 1995. With longtime creative collaborator and bandmate Dan Abbott, Redford has co-written, recorded and produced several albums, culminating in a catalog of over 100 songs. The band has released two books on Microcosm Publishing, The Bobby Joe Ebola Songbook, and the read-along illustrated “audio storybook”, Meal Deal With the Devil.

As an independent producer in the S.P.A.M Records Collective, he worked with bands such as Gravy Train!!!!, The Blast Rocks!!!, Dory Tourette and the Skirtheads and others to release their early albums. Redford was a co-founder of the free, all-ages, outdoors & guerilla Geekfest concert series, and has organized, produced and promoted countless shows & tours, working with radio, print weeklies, online press and other avenues to get the word out.

In 2017, Redford wrote (with co-writer Anthony Marchitiello), directed, and produced the feature-length documentary, Turn It Around: The Story of East Bay Punk, alongside executive producers Green Day and narrator Iggy Pop. The documentary had its world premiere as the opening night film of the 16th SF Docfest, followed by theatrical runs at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in San Francisco and IFC Center in New York City. The Bay Area premiere was followed by screenings in cities across the USA and Canada in tandem with Green Day’s Revolution Radio World Tour, culminating in Los Angeles for one night only on three sold-out screens at the ArcLight Hollywood. Abramorama handled theatrical distribution bringing the film from an initially-planned 30 theaters starting in June 2017 to over 100 theaters by October 2017 due to popular demand. Turn It Around was also an Official Selection at the 2017 Calgary International Film Festival, the 2018 Albany FilmFest, and the 2019 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame music documentary film series. The film received glowing reviews in Variety and Hollywood Reporter, and was picked as one of Rolling Stone’s “Top Music Docs of 2017”. In 2019, Giant Pictures handled digital and streaming distribution.

In 2022-23, Redford served as Technical Advisor for the movie Freaky Tales, a live-action anthology film wherein one of the four stories in the movie was inspired by the events featured in Redford’s Turn It Around documentary. Giving script notes, consulting with the directors, producers, & actors, along with the Set Design, Wardrobe, Props and Music Licensing teams, Corbett also had a walk-on cameo as a “Meditation Student”. The film was directed by Anna Boden & Ryan Fleck (the team behind Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel) and features Pedro Pascal, Tom Hanks, Jay Ellis, Ben Mendelsohn, Ji-young Yoo, Normani, Angus Cloud, Dominique Thorne, Jack Champion, James Coker, LeQuan Bennett and more.

As a voice actor and narrator, Corbett has worked with Lionel Trains & Neil Young on their ATSF Santa Fe 3000 toy train project, Heavy Trip director Jukka Vidgren’s “Dr. Professor’s Thesis of Evil”, Spotify & Hyundia’s “Landmark: Green Day - The Early Years”, and numerous other projects. Redford has been a featured guest on numerous podcasts including NPR’s Snap Judgement, Bandsplain, The Peer Pleasure Podcast, and Deeper Digs on Pantheon

Corbett is an East Bay native, who in recent years, moved with his family and their gaggle of pets to the Russian River Valley in Northern California. In his off-time, he enjoys watching Godzilla movies, reading comic books and collecting enamel pins. He is currently working with songwriting partner Dan Abbott on a 20-song concept album, titled Solar Cantata, Bobby Joe Ebola’s first album in 12 years.
